  28. Hi there, music lover. This is us: Charlie Brown Records. The unexisting re-
  29. ~F8~
  30. cord label. Maybe you have never heard of us, which is not weird: We have
  31. founded the group only in February 1995, so we are not THAT 'old'. BUT we
  32. have reached an 'awful' lot, so to speak. We had plans for 1996, but almost
  33. all those came out earlier than expected. If you want to contact us for what-
  34. ever: (E-)mail adresses are somewhere below.

  37. If you are just anxious to know what we have done for the past year, this
  38. ~F8~
  39. file is also something for you. ALL our releases are in here. Sorted by, what
  40. else, Artist. Also a couple of real-life vynyl stories are included.
  41.    Of every artist that has made songs for CBR in 1995, a little description
  42. is given. It's not much but worth reading. Below the description is a list of
  43. the songs produced by that artist. The list is divided into: Title,Filename,
  44. Sort Release, Style and Release date.
  45.    Sort Release may give problems while reading, so here's the explination:
  46. If there's an 's' that means 'single' release. This release is a song on it's
  47. own. An 's'-song always has a release date. 'd' means musicdisk release, this
  48. song was released on a disk. Where the disk-title is? Well, an entire disk can
  49. be found between lines, seperated from the other releases. A 'd'-song only has
  50. a release date if the 's' is also there. The release date of the music disk
  51. comes with the title. If rated the rating is between brackets '()'. Finally,
  52. the 'g' stands for a guest release.

  78. Bruno is a recordshop-owner who we simply have to credit. He has given us a
  79. ~F8~
  80. first, more or less professional, appraisal. This man is namely not ONLY a
  81. recordshop-owner, but also a producer. This is what TruxX discovered after
  82. coming around there to 'finally' buy his copy of 'Music for the jilted ge-
  83. neration' from The Prodigy [our role-model?;Logos] They talked away about
  84. the music biz. Then TruxX decided to give Bruno a little Demotape, which
  85. made him wild of enthousiasm. This year he has built his own studio below
  86. the shop. When he completed the build he went in to check out the stuff
  87. to make himself comfortable with the new equipment.
  88.    The weekend that followed (after the studio being finished) PeDRo stepped
  89. in with his 'little' computer, to try a Recording Session. The music really
  90. sounded a lot better than our 'normal' 80 watt stereo-sets. The result how-
  91. ever was not what we thought it would be. Problems ocurred with synchronising
  92. FT2 with an ADAT-recorder (8 track recorder) FT2 simply doesn't synch like
  93. like midi does. So, we had to find a solution to that problem.
  94.    Unfortunately, after we'd encountered this problem, Christmas was knocking
  95. on our doors. Also on Bruno's (he had to sell a lot of records :) We haven't
  96. solved this problem yet, but there's a good chance 1996 will be the year to
  97. make a lot of progress. FT2.05 is due to be released and it is told that in
  98. this version an actual midi-sync for SB AWE 32 is built in. We can only pray
  99. this will solve the lot as far as now, but it's better than nothing.

  112. The second who payed interest in our songs was Outland Records. This is a
  113. ~F8~
  114. Dutch Record company that compiles CD's of the following styles: Dance,
  115. Trance, Tekno and Gabber.
  116. ~ONE~
  117. Chi:lm, a maker of these CD's, said he would consider putting us on CD. This
  118. ~F8~
  119. is a true honour for us; To be told your muzik doesn't suck is one thing, but
  120. some1 that considers putting you on CD is another.
  121.    The sad part about this, is that when Chi:lm contacted us, the Breakbeat-
  122. CD was already being printed. And since our releases mostly consist of this
  123. type of song...., just too late.

  416. Caligola has made only few releases due to the following fact:
  417. - His brains are working on a sound supported 3D dome which introduces all
  418.   CBR members in 3D! together with added info. Little is yet known about this
  419.   engine for in the darkest secret he's working on this marvelous brainpumping
  420.   dome. Eventually, when his project is finished he may have more time to keep
  421.   up with the beat, but for now we let him create his work-of-life.
